Hollywood Vampires Sued Over Canceled 2023 Slovakia Show

Johnny Depp's band, Hollywood Vampires, has been sued after canceling a concert in Slovakia on the day of the show due to an allegedly unsafe venue. The supergroup, which also includes Alice Cooper and Joe Perry, had refunded fans for a previous cancellation in Budapest, Hungary.

The Slovakian date was originally scheduled for Olympic Fields in Zvolenska Slatina but was moved to Amphitheatre Banska Bystrica before being canceled entirely. Ticket seller Ticketportal confirmed the changes.

In an Instagram statement, the band said: 'Upon arrival today to the venue in Slovakia to begin set-up for tonight’s performance, it quickly became clear that the construction of the facility was incomplete, and therefore unsafe for both the band and the general public.'

The band expressed disappointment and hope to return when schedules permit, clarifying that this cancellation was unrelated to the Budapest show. They assured fans that all band members are safe and healthy.

Hollywood Vampires are scheduled to perform in Poland, Germany, and the US later this month. Depp had previously pulled out of some US tour dates due to a fractured ankle in May.
