When Gogglebox first aired in 2013, viewers were initially puzzled by the concept of watching strangers watch television. However, the original cast's charm and honest reactions quickly made the show a British TV staple. Over a decade later, we look at where the original stars are now.
The Kent couple, known for their posh accents and dry wit, left the show and appeared on Channel 4's Hunted. They released a book, Steph and Dom's Guide to Life, but later faced financial struggles, selling their Kent mansion and moving to the Canary Islands after falling £1.8 million into debt.
Leon and June, beloved for their warm relationship, saw Leon pass away in December 2017 and June in 2020. Sandra and Sandi, fan favourites for their contrasting personalities, have taken different paths: Sandra now works at a funeral home, while Sandi hosts events.
The Siddiqui family remain the only original cast still on the show. Despite initially thinking they wouldn't last a year, they continue to live normal lives. Recently, Baasit and his wife ran the London Marathon for Mind charity. Chris and Stephen, known for their playful bickering, have parted ways romantically; Chris is married with dogs, while Stephen appeared on Celebrities Go Dating.
The Tapper family have returned to day jobs: Josh works in politics for Labour, Jonathan is a chauffeur, and Amy has documented her six-stone weight loss. Andrew Michael, who appeared with his family, died in 2021 at age 61.
