Gemma Collins suffered a dramatic fall from her hammock during Monday's episode of I'm a Celebrity... South Africa, leaving campmates in hysterics. The TOWIE star swung backwards and landed on the ground with her legs in the air, letting out a loud scream. Boxer David Haye rushed over to assist, while Adam Thomas and Scarlett Moffatt burst into laughter.
Scarlett, who had been sharing an emotional moment with Adam about missing home, said: 'You know what, Gemma? We were nearly crying over here missing our kids, I'm on top of the world now!' Safely back in her hammock, Gemma remarked: 'David Haye came to my rescue. I'm winning at life!'
The fall comes after Gemma clashed with David over his 'frosty' behaviour. She told cameras that the GC 'wouldn't take it' if they were back home, and later complained to Adam that David was 'unwelcoming'. Gemma also had a tense exchange with Sinitta, who admitted she thought Gemma's casting as Mama Morton in Chicago was a 'joke'.
Sinitta has since faced backlash from viewers, but defended herself on social media, saying ITV 'edited out' parts of their conversation. She apologised to Gemma, writing: 'I am truly sorry that I hurt your feelings when I said I initially thought your Chicago announcement was a joke.'
