A violent altercation over parking spaces at a Costco in Mississauga, Ontario, was captured on video, prompting a police investigation. The incident occurred around 2:15pm on Saturday, when two men allegedly clashed after one blocked the other's car.
The footage shows the two men confronting each other, with their partners soon joining the fray. All four individuals engaged in pushing and shoving, leading to one woman falling to the ground. Punches were thrown as security staff attempted to intervene.
Witness Joe Carreiro told CBC News that he heard screaming and yelling while shopping. After the customers moved their cars, they returned to the middle of the parking lot and resumed fighting. Carreiro described the scene as the group 'whaling on each other'.
Peel Regional Police Constable Rachel Gibbs confirmed that officers are investigating, speaking with witnesses and reviewing video to determine if any offences occurred. No serious injuries were reported, though one man received a cut to his head and was treated by a trained first aider on Costco staff.
