Coleen Rooney has made a triumphant return to Aintree Racecourse for the Grand National Festival, accompanied by her husband Wayne. The 40-year-old, once a regular attendee, had not been seen at the event since 2018. She stunned onlookers in a pastel lemon Roland Mouret Jersey Draped Waterfall Maxi Dress, priced at £835 from Harrods.
The dress, described by the retailer as featuring 'twisted knot detailing' and 'a fluid waterfall of drapery', was paired with Wayne's navy suit, baby blue shirt, and grey and blue striped tie. The couple watched the Hallgarten and Novum Wines Maghull Novices' Chase ahead of the main race at 4pm.
Coleen's return to the spotlight follows her stint on I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here! in 2024. She recently celebrated her 40th birthday, telling fans she planned to 'enjoy a couple of different celebrations with family and friends'. Her appearance at Aintree marks a continuation of those festivities.
The Rooneys were among a host of famous faces at the festival, including Princess Anne, former Liverpool defender Jamie Carragher, and Coronation Street star Helen Flanagan. Coleen's fashion choices have long been iconic; in 2012, stylist Philip Armstrong described her as 'a dream to dress' with 'her own sense of style'.
In other news, Applied Nutrition, a sports nutrition brand backed by Coleen, has secured planning permission for a new 84,000 sq ft global distribution centre in Kirkby. The expansion underscores Coleen's growing business portfolio since her jungle appearance.
