Coleen Rooney Turns Heads at Aintree's Grand National Festival
Coleen Rooney made a stunning appearance at the Randox Grand National Festival Day on Saturday, arriving at Aintree racecourse in a glamorous ensemble that captured attention. The 40-year-old WAG shared a cosy moment with her husband, former footballer Wayne Rooney, also 40, as they were spotted together in the crowd, each sipping on a glass of fizz and appearing in high spirits.
Elegant Fashion and Festive Atmosphere
Coleen wowed onlookers in a figure-hugging, floor-length cream dress that featured intricate tied ruched detailing around her waist, accentuating her silhouette. She accessorised with strappy gold heels, a matching gold purse, and delicate gold earrings, completing a sophisticated look. Meanwhile, Wayne looked suitably smart in a classic suit paired with a pale blue shirt, tie, and sunglasses, embodying a polished race-day style.
The mother of four seemed to thoroughly enjoy the day out with her husband, cheering in the stands and flicking through the programme of events as they read up on the competing horses. Over the course of the three-day festival, more than 150,000 spectators descended on Aintree, building up to the showpiece chase on Saturday.
Grand National: A Premier Racing Event
While spectators enjoyed a full programme of racing during the daytime, all eyes were on the namesake Grand National event. This electrifying race saw a field of 34 runners take on 30 fences, widely considered one of the biggest dates in the international horseracing calendar. The current favourite to win was Panic Attack, at odds of seven to one according to bookmakers Paddy Power, with the main event nearly closing out the festival before a final flat race at 5pm.
Birthday Celebrations and Family Adventures
The Grand National outing followed a busy week for Coleen, who recently celebrated her 40th birthday with a swanky bash at her and Wayne's £20 million Cheshire mansion. She threw a huge party for closest friends and family, featuring an enormous white marquee set up in the 50-acre grounds of her home. In the days after, Coleen continued her birthday celebrations with a family ski trip.
Taking to Instagram on Friday, Coleen shared a snap of herself, Wayne, and their youngest sons Kit, 10, and Cass, eight, against a backdrop of snow-capped mountains. It is not known if their older sons Kai, 16, and Klay, 12, joined the family on this trip.
Disney+ Series and Star-Studded Party
It was revealed earlier this week that Coleen's 40th birthday bash was captured as part of her £10 million deal with Disney+. The upcoming Disney+ series is expected to follow the I'm A Celebrity star, along with Wayne and their four sons Kai, Klay, Kit, and Cass. A source told The Sun: 'Coleen's party was captured in parts as part of her Disney series. Everyone had a fantastic time and some videos and pictures were shared on social media. But if fans really want to see the party, they'll have to watch the Disney show when it comes out.' Coleen previously had a 2023 docu-series, The Real Wagatha Story, with the streaming giant Disney+.
During her boozy birthday party, Coleen let her hair down, dancing the night away with Wayne and son Kai. The TV star hosted an A-list guest list that included Wayne's ex-Manchester United pals Ryan Giggs and Paul Scholes, reality TV's Leanne Brown, ex-footballer Phil Bardsley and his Real Housewives of Cheshire missus Tanya. Elsewhere, Irish singer-songwriter Dermot Kennedy delighted guests with an acoustic performance. Daily Mail have contacted Coleen's representatives for comment on these events.
