Showbiz celebrities gathered at JOIA in London on Thursday night for the Vanity Fair EE Rising Star Bafta pre-party, ahead of the EE British Academy Film Awards 2023. Among the arrivals were Nicola Roberts, Emily Atack, Dermot O’Leary, and AJ Odudu, who dazzled in shimmering attire on the red carpet.

Emily Atack, 33, wore a black feather-trim midi dress with matching stiletto heels, following the release of her documentary on abuse, Emily Atack: Asking for It. She opted for a bronzed makeup palette and nude lipstick, with her blonde hair pulled into a bun.

Former Girls Aloud singer Nicola Roberts, 37, turned up in a glitzy burgundy mini-dress with sheer tights and chunky block heels, carrying a bucket bag. Presenter AJ Odudu wore a sequined purple bow top with cut-outs, paired with black slacks, heels, and a lip-shaped clutch.

Dermot O’Leary donned a suit and tie, posing with his wife Dee Koppang, who wore a fur-trimmed pale yellow duster coat. The BAFTA EE Rising Star Award nominees for 2023 were announced earlier at The Savoy Hotel, including Naomi Ackie, Sheila Atim, Emma Mackey, Daryl McCormack, and Aimee Lou Wood.

Emma Mackey expressed gratitude for her nomination, saying: 'I am so grateful to BAFTA and EE for including me in this category. Being able to tell stories and make films is already such a blessing. To be nominated alongside these wonderful actors and for us all to be noticed by such a respected and inspiring institution is very humbling indeed.'

Now in its 18th year, the award is the only BAFTA chosen by the public, with voting open on the BAFTA website. The winner will be announced on Sunday 19 February during the EE Bafta Film Awards ceremony.
