Adam Thomas Confronts I'm A Celebrity All Stars Tensions After Reported Clash with Jimmy Bullard
Adam Thomas has openly acknowledged experiencing his 'moments' within the I'm A Celebrity All Star camp, following revelations that he erupted into a fit of rage directed at former footballer Jimmy Bullard during the show's production. The Waterloo Road actor, aged 37, traveled to South Africa alongside fellow All Stars including Scarlett Moffatt, Harry Redknapp, and Gemma Collins in September for the ITV series.
Thomas Reflects on Grueling Experience and Imposter Syndrome
When questioned about his overall experience, Thomas stated: 'It was tough, there's no denying that and I feel like I had my moments in there, like we all did. I'm glad I did it, it's amazing to be back after 10 years. I got such imposter syndrome, it's a lot to take in and it was a lot to take in. It was an experience to say the least but I'm glad that I did it.'
The father-of-one participated in a Q&A session hosted by Sam Thompson and Kemi Rogers at the Ham Yard Hotel during the launch event for the upcoming show. Notably, Bullard, aged 47, was absent from the gathering, with reports indicating that the two no longer maintain communication.
Camp Dynamics Revealed: WhatsApp Group Abandoned
While fellow contestant Sean Walsh attempted to assert that all participants remained friends, former Queen of the Jungle Scarlett Moffatt disclosed that none of them continue to use the group WhatsApp chat. The Gogglebox star, aged 35, remarked: 'Let’s not lie on this stage. I think naturally, in a social setting like that, you are drawn to certain people over others. That’s just life, we did all get on. But, there were peaks and troughs wasn’t there.'
The actor's outburst reportedly occurred during a pre-recorded Bushtucker Trial, leaving Bullard blindsided by the sudden confrontation. The argument is understood to have unfolded in front of hosts Ant McPartlin and Declan Donnelly, triggered when one celebrity was compelled to shout the iconic line: 'I'm a celebrity, get me out of here.'
Source Details Explosive Confrontation
A source previously informed The Sun: 'Adam totally lost it. He started screaming at Jimmy, calling him a c*** and every other name under the sun. It was completely unexpected and deeply shocked the other campmates, including Jimmy, who didn’t see it coming.' Jimmy Bullard was reportedly unable to attend the series launch due to a prior engagement, further fueling speculation about the strained relationship.
Ant and Dec Tease Record-Breaking Challenges and Increased Drama
Meanwhile, hosts Ant and Dec have provided insights into the behind-the-scenes dynamics of the All Stars edition, highlighting a record-breaking five-hour eating trial. The spin-off, initially broadcast in 2023, features numerous celebrities returning for a second jungle experience, filmed in Kruger National Park, South Africa, rather than the usual Australian location.
Ant explained: 'The trials are physically bigger, and they are tougher than we have seen before because we have to really test them... we have made it tougher than ever. We start off on a huge balancing board, hanging off the side of a cliff - we strap the celebrities together, and they are on this board which is going backwards and forwards... then a full-size train set that the celebrities are in.'
Dec added: 'They didn't realise what was about to hit them, definitely not... It all dawns on them pretty quickly that it was a different level. There's another one where the celebrities are 140ft in the air where they go head-to-head with another celebrity. There's a 50ft game of Snakes & Ladders.'
Unprecedented Trial Length and Live Final Announcement
Regarding the extended eating trial, Dec noted: 'One trial took so long - an eating trial - I think it is now on record as the longest trial ever. It was about five hours long. Two of the campmates were sitting in the bleachers at the back who weren't involved in the trial, but they were watching, and they were falling asleep. It was brilliant, the portion sizes were brilliant, the biggest we have ever had before.'
Significant changes for the upcoming series include a live final in the UK, allowing public voting to determine the 'I'm A Celebrity legend.' Dec elaborated: 'Last time round it was all on tape but this time round we are doing a live final here. The public didn't get a chance to have a say but this time they do. The very end of the series will be live - and ultimately the public will decide who will be named the I'm A Celebrity legend.'
Ant chimed in: 'We'll bring the whole cast back and have the finalists live in the studio and it'll be a live vote like we do in Australia and the public will decide their legend!' Dec concluded by hinting at heightened drama: 'There's a lot of drama - without giving too much away. It's up and down and you will witness arguments and things that we haven't seen on I'm A Celeb Australia for a little while. It's a must watch!'
The inaugural I'm A Celebrity All Stars series featured participants such as Helen Flanagan, Joe Swash, and Shaun Ryder, ultimately crowning Myleene Klass as the winner, followed by Jordan Banjo in second place and Fatima Whitbread in third.
