Trump Vows Military Action Against Nations Trafficking Drugs to US
Trump Threatens Nations Over Drug Trafficking

US President Donald Trump has issued a stark warning that his administration is prepared to target any nation involved in trafficking illegal narcotics into the United States.

White House Cabinet Meeting Remarks

The declaration came during a cabinet meeting at the White House on 2 December 2025, where the President specifically raised the issue of cocaine originating from South America. In pointed remarks, Trump stated, "The country of Colombia is making cocaine. They have cocaine manufacturing plants and then they sell us their cocaine. We appreciate that very much."

He then delivered a clear ultimatum: "Anybody that's doing that and selling it into our country is subject to attack."

Venezuela and Beyond in the Crosshairs

When questioned if his threat extended beyond Venezuela, a long-standing target of his administration's criticism, the President confirmed it was broader. "Not just Venezuela," he asserted.

He elaborated on Venezuela's actions, claiming, "Venezuela has been really bad. Venezuela has been really bad in something else, probably worse than most, but a lot of people do it too." Trump further accused the nation of sending "murderers" into the US and emptying its jails across the border.

Context and Recent Actions

This aggressive rhetoric follows recent military action linked to the administration's drug trafficking crackdown. The US has already targeted an alleged drug smuggling vessel in the Caribbean Sea, signalling a willingness to use force.

The President's comments mark a significant escalation in the language used to address the international narcotics trade, framing it as a direct national security threat warranting a military response against sovereign states.
