Spencer Matthews Takes on Seven Peaks in Seven Days for Mental Health Awareness
Spencer Matthews' 7-peak mental health challenge

Former Made in Chelsea star Spencer Matthews is pushing his limits in a daring new adventure. The reality TV personality has set out to conquer seven of the UK's highest peaks in just seven days, all in the name of mental health awareness and addiction recovery.

The Challenge Begins

Matthews, known for his adventurous spirit, has dubbed this gruelling feat 'Project Seven'. The challenge will see him scale some of Britain's most formidable mountains, including Ben Nevis, Scafell Pike, and Snowdon, among others.

A Personal Mission

This isn't just about physical endurance for Matthews. The 34-year-old has been open about his own struggles with alcohol addiction and is using this challenge to raise funds for charities supporting mental health and addiction recovery services.

'I want to prove that with the right mindset, we can overcome even the toughest obstacles,' Matthews told reporters before setting off on his journey.

The Route

The ambitious route includes:

  • Day 1: Ben Nevis (Scotland)
  • Day 2: Scafell Pike (England)
  • Day 3: Snowdon (Wales)
  • Days 4-7: Four additional challenging peaks

Matthews will be documenting his progress daily, sharing both the physical and mental challenges of such an intense undertaking.

Supporting a Worthy Cause

All funds raised through Project Seven will go towards mental health charities and addiction recovery programmes. Matthews hopes his journey will inspire others facing similar battles to seek help and support.

'If my story can help just one person take that first step towards recovery, then every blister and aching muscle will be worth it,' he added.

The challenge comes just months after Matthews completed another impressive feat - running 30 marathons in 30 days for charity.
