Power Plate MOVE Review: Is the £3k Vibrating Platform Worth It?
Power Plate MOVE Review: £3k Vibrating Platform Tested

The Power Plate MOVE is a vibrating platform designed to make exercise more efficient, and after a month of use, beauty director Rose Beer is impressed. The device, which costs £3,495 (reduced to £2,621 on Powerplate.co.uk), promises enhanced workouts through vibration therapy.

How Vibration Therapy Works

Vibration therapy, long used by athletes and physiotherapists, stimulates muscle contractions to support blood circulation, strength, balance, mobility, bone health, recovery and pelvic floor rehab. The rapid, controlled vibrations add an extra muscular challenge to exercise, making it feel harder without adding weight or extending session time.

Features and Testing

The MOVE offers six frequencies and two intensity settings, plus resistance straps, a remote and an app with workouts to follow. Beer used the device for everything from massage to intense exercise sessions, noting that squats and lunges feel more demanding on the platform.

Three-to-five minute “movement snacks” helped fit meaningful movement into busy days, she said. However, the device has downsides: it is a hefty piece of equipment unlikely to suit small city spaces, and it represents a serious investment.

Verdict

For those constantly trying to squeeze movement into busy schedules, the Power Plate MOVE is an appealing nice-to-have, Beer concluded. It is currently available at a discounted price of £2,621.
