Plus-Size Influencer Slams Skinny Jabs, Says World Has 'Gone Mad' for Manufactured Beauty

A plus-size influencer has criticised the rising popularity of weight loss injections, insisting she would rather remain 'fat and natural' than resort to what she calls 'manufactured beauty'. Alex Aspasia, 31, who is known for her body-positive content on social media, said she believes society has 'fallen so far from what natural beauty is'.

Speaking out against the trend for 'skinny jabs', Alex said she does not judge those who use them but thinks the world has 'gone mad' for such procedures, as well as for plastic surgery and AI image editing. 'The divine feminine is art, not manufactured,' she told Jam Press. 'I hate how harsh the world is to plus-size women when we uphold beauty standards rooted in very manufactured practices.'

The influencer, who is 6ft tall and weighs around 380lbs, said she wants to show what a natural woman's body looks like. 'Beauty doesn't have to be manufactured to be valid,' she added. Alex, who hails from Miami but has travelled extensively for modelling, noted that she received mixed reactions in Europe, where the beauty standard is 'extremely thin'.

While respecting individual choices, Alex questioned the societal pressure to be thin at any cost. 'It teaches women that 'natural' isn't enough and that beauty is always something you have to buy, inject or fix,' she said. She urged people to consider why there is such urgency to change bodies, rather than embracing natural diversity.
