Merit Uniform SPF Review: Three Testers Share Their Honest Thoughts
Merit Uniform SPF Review: Three Testers Weigh In

The quest for a facial SPF that feels good to wear daily can be challenging, but Merit's uniform SPF may have found the answer. With 20 shades now available, including five new additions, this tinted sunscreen promises a sheer, glowy finish with SPF50 protection. Our three beauty testers put it to the test.

Daisy Lester's Review

Rating: 4/5 | Shade tested: 21

As a fan of Merit products, I had high expectations. Shade 21, a light-to-medium cool tone, matched my complexion perfectly. The formula buffs into skin easily with a brush, offering sheer coverage and a radiant finish. It doesn't hide spots, so concealer is needed for blemishes, but the glow and skin tone match are excellent. The broad-spectrum mineral protection is ideal for low-makeup days, but for extended sun exposure, a more durable SPF is recommended as coverage fades throughout the day.

Sabrina Sahota's Review

Rating: 4/5 | Shade tested: 18

This tinted SPF is easy to blend with fingers or a brush, perfect for warm days when full coverage isn't needed. It evens out skin tone beautifully. However, on my combination skin, the T-zone became shiny and heavy by day's end. While I wouldn't replace my regular SPF with this, it's a great glowy base for holidays.

Lucy Smith's Review

Rating: 4/5 | Shade tested: 25

Having used the uniform for over a year, I tested shade 25. Initially worried it might be too orange, but it melded effortlessly with my skin for a blurred, healthy finish. Coverage is very light, ideal for summer or casual days. After a long day, it didn't turn patchy or oxidise, but coverage lessened by evening. It's a staple in my routine.

Overall Verdict

All testers agree: Merit's uniform SPF delivers glowy, light coverage for no-foundation days. The expanded shade range makes finding a match easier. For peak summer or holidays, a stronger SPF may be needed, but for everyday protection and a natural look, this is a winner.
