Josie Gibson has been turning heads with her incredible transformation during a luxurious family getaway in Thailand. The This Morning presenter, 40, proudly displayed her impressive five stone weight loss while enjoying a sun-soaked break with her six-year-old son, Reggie, and other family members.
A Lavish Thai Retreat at a White Lotus Location
The TV personality kicked off her holiday in serious style, staying at the exclusive Four Seasons resort in Koh Samui. This very location was used for filming the third season of HBO's hit series, The White Lotus. Josie and Reggie made the most of their £1,500-a-night suite, which featured a stunning private pool. She was pictured in a tiny green bikini, taking a dip before relaxing in an adjoining outdoor bathtub, fully embracing the lavish surroundings.
An Ethical Elephant Encounter
Later in the trip, the group ventured to the Aonang Elephant Sanctuary in Krabi. Dressed for the warm weather in a skimpy bralette and shorts, Josie was clearly in her element. She and her family spent time feeding the gentle giants and even helped bathe them in a large pool. Taking to social media, Josie passionately recommended the sanctuary, emphasising the thorough research she did to ensure it was an ethical establishment that prioritised the elephants' 'happiness, health and safety first'.
The Secrets Behind Her Stunning Transformation
This holiday display comes after Josie openly discussed the methods behind her remarkable weight loss. Having previously yo-yo dieted and sworn off weight loss jabs, she has now found a sustainable routine that works for her.
Her regimen includes:
- Intermittent fasting for eight hours a day, three times a week.
- A simple but effective gym routine involving a 0.5km treadmill run, 15 squats with a 22kg weight, and 25 sit-ups, all repeated three times.
- Following a '1970s diet' focused on smaller portions, home-cooked meals, and less processed food. This includes foods like boiled potatoes, liver, spam, pork, beans, and Angel Delight.
- Cutting out refined sugars, only consuming those found naturally in fruit.
Despite her success, the modest star has attributed part of her slimmer figure to 'stress' from a busy work schedule, motherhood, and renovating her new house in Bath, alongside a dose of 'good angles', insisting she is 'not as slim as you think'. She has also praised her trainer, Rick Parcell, co-founder of The Body Camp, for his guidance.
Josie, who is currently extending her stay in Thailand after celebrating the New Year there, admitted to indulging in the local cuisine, stating 'I've eaten my way around Thailand'. However, she balances this with her healthier habits, proving her approach is about sustainable lifestyle changes rather than strict deprivation.
