Josie Gibson Flaunts 5 Stone Weight Loss in Thailand Getaway & Reveals Diet Secrets
Josie Gibson's 5 Stone Weight Loss in Thailand Getaway

This Morning presenter Josie Gibson has been turning heads with her impressive five stone weight loss, which she proudly displayed during a lavish family holiday in Thailand this week. The 40-year-old television personality was pictured enjoying the opulent surroundings of a £1,500-per-night suite at the Four Seasons resort in Koh Samui, a location famously used in HBO's The White Lotus.

A Luxurious Thai Escape

On Monday, Josie slipped into a vibrant green bikini, showcasing her slimmer figure as she and her six-year-old son, Reggie, made the most of their suite's private pool. The getaway, which also includes other family members, saw the star relaxing in an adjoining outdoor bathtub after a refreshing dip.

Later, the group ventured to the Aonang Elephant Sanctuary in Krabi. Dressed for the tropical climate in a skimpy bralette and shorts, Josie appeared to be having a wonderful time. She and her family were photographed feeding the gentle giants and helping to bathe them in a large pool.

Taking to social media, Josie, who shares Reggie with her ex-partner Terry Bond, enthusiastically recommended the experience. "If you're looking to experience a day with the elephants I cannot recommend the @aonangelephantsanctuary in Krabi enough," she wrote. She emphasised that the family had researched thoroughly to ensure they were supporting a sanctuary that prioritises the animals' welfare, happiness, and safety.

The Secrets Behind the Transformation

This stunning display comes after Josie openly discussed the methods behind her remarkable body transformation. Having previously fluctuated between a size 20 and a size eight, and after years of yo-yo dieting, she insists she has finally found a sustainable routine.

She credits her success to a combination of intermittent fasting three days a week, a straightforward gym regimen, and what she calls a '1970s diet'. This approach focuses on smaller portions of simple, home-cooked meals—including foods like boiled potatoes, liver, spam, pork, and beans—while cutting out processed foods, sugar, and convenience meals.

In her book, The Josie Gibson Diet, she also revealed that cutting out all refined sugars, except those naturally occurring in fruit, helped her lose over 31kg in just six months. Her current fitness routine is surprisingly simple: a 0.5km run on the treadmill, 15 squats using a 22kg weight, and 25 sit-ups, all repeated three times.

Stress, Angles, and a Balanced Outlook

Despite her disciplined approach, the modest star humorously attributes part of her slimmer appearance to "stress" and "good angles." She has stated, "I'm not as slim as you think," pointing to a hectic year involving work, motherhood, and renovating a new house in Bath.

Josie also praised her trainer, Rick Parcell, co-founder of The Body Camp, whose 12-week home programme helped her reach her goals. While she is committed to healthier habits, she believes in balance. Currently enjoying the culinary delights of Thailand, she admitted, "I've eaten my way around Thailand. The food is amazing!" proving that her journey is about sustainable lifestyle changes rather than strict deprivation.
