Bachelorette alum JoJo Fletcher has revealed she faced an agonizing decision to pose in a bikini just months after welcoming her first child via an emergency C-section in an exclusive interview with The Daily Mail. The reality star, 35, and her husband, Jordan Rodgers, 37, have been in newborn 'bliss' since welcoming their first child together, a daughter named Romy Blair Rodgers, in December 2025.
But just months after welcoming Romy, Fletcher had to decide if she was ready for the world to see her in a bathing suit. The star will be releasing her latest swimsuit collection with Cupshe on May 15 and was set to do a bikini photo shoot to promote the range shortly after giving birth.
It's a daunting prospect that would rattle any new mother, but one that Fletcher decided to embrace as an opportunity to begin her 'new chapter' as a mom. 'We shot the collection, the photo shoot for the collection was a couple months postpartum, which was a whole thing. I was like, "Oh my gosh. Am I ready for this?"' she told The Daily Mail. 'But I was like, "You know what? I'm just going to own this new chapter of my life. And like, I'm a mom now, and I love it. I love what my body was able to do and to give us."'
The decision to wear a bathing suit so soon after childbirth isn't the only issue many mothers can relate to Fletcher with. 'The newborn trenches can be rough,' she said. 'I think every mom can say that, but there's such a true statement to the newborn bliss and this new life that you're kind of starting and embarking on.'
Life as New Parents
Fletcher is a beloved member of Bachelor Nation who found love with Rodgers on her season of The Bachelorette back in 2016. Now, more than 10 years later, the couple are parents to a little girl - meaning they are too busy changing diapers to keep up with the latest Bachelorette drama after Taylor Frankie Paul's exit. 'I have loved being in my own little bubble,' she said when asked about the controversy. 'Loved it. I really have not invested so much time into watching all of it and keeping up with stuff.'
The couple's routine looks nothing like their days on The Bachelorette, where Rodgers competed against a group of suitors for Fletcher's heart. 'Honestly, our routine right now is pretty straightforward,' she said. 'She wakes up, I feed her. Jordan has been like the best partner in the sense that, like, I feed her, he burps her, and we just go back and forth.'
'Honestly, my focus right now is just my daughter, and I try not to get caught up in all the craziness... in the world in general, I feel like for all moms, especially in this postpartum era, like your mental health and clarity is so important. And so I've always just told myself, you know what, in these next few months after getting having birth, like I want to focus on good energy, positivity.'
Cupshe Collaboration and Future Plans
Fletcher's Cupshe line, Set Sail, will be released via two different installments, with the first chapter dropping on May 15 and a second range following on May 29. It features 60 Fletcher-approved styles that are priced around $30 to $50. When asked about a potential mommy and me collection, she said, 'When we were designing this collection, I was thinking about my daughter, Romy. And the team was so sweet, they made Romy some just little sample swimsuit. I have yet to put her in 'em yet. I'm like, "When am I gonna do that?" But I feel like that'd be super, super cute. When I do my try-ons for this collection, I'm gonna put her in it, and it'll be super, super cute to share. But I would love to do that.'
Fletcher met Rodgers during season 12 of The Bachelorette and tied the knot in 2022. The couple announced the arrival of Romy last year, a child they welcomed after Fletcher underwent an emergency C-section. The pregnancy announcement, which described Romy as their 'rainbow baby' - a term used for a child born after a miscarriage - was met with an outpouring of support from Bachelor Nation.
On Sunday, Fletcher celebrated her first-ever Mother's Day as a mom. 'Will never stop being so grateful that I get to be her Mom,' she captioned a video montage of her with Romy. 'Happy Mother’s Day to all my mamas out there. Real life superhero’s.'
