Elizabeth Hurley has revealed that three months of using a home laser device has led to noticeable fading of sun damage on her skin and hands. The actress, known for her diligent sun protection, admitted she still struggled with pigmentation marks, but now reports “real changes” after using the LYMA Laser PRO.
Speaking on LYMA’s Science of Youth series, Hurley told plastic surgeon Graeme Glass: “I have seen changes in some of the sun damage on my skin. I actually feel that they have faded, and I think they've faded on my hands too.” She noted that despite a recent holiday to the Maldives, her results did not reverse.
The device, which costs £4,995, has also won over celebrities including Miranda Kerr, Rosie Huntington-Whiteley and Sienna Miller. Hurley praised its portability, saying she uses it while watching television or even during car journeys and flights, needing only three minutes per zone daily.
Hurley contrasted her experience with other at-home light gadgets, particularly LED masks: “I bought one of those LED masks once. To be honest, I don't think it did anything. I shan't be wasting my money again.” The LYMA Laser PRO uses a continuous near-infrared cold laser beam, which the manufacturer says stimulates cellular energy without heat or downtime.
Dr Graeme Glass explained that unlike professional treatments that cause controlled damage to trigger healing, near-infrared laser therapy aims to stimulate regeneration without trauma. The device is designed to boost ATP production, encouraging collagen synthesis and improving skin density.
