A gardening expert has warned that a common watering mistake could be killing your plants. Sabrina, who posts on social media as @sabrina.sustainable.life, says that watering plants from above can lead to bacterial and fungal diseases.
Instead, she recommends watering plants at the base to keep foliage dry. 'Avoid getting the foliage wet,' she advises, as this can cause premature death.
Sabrina also suggests planting marigolds to attract beneficial insects and deter pests. She urges gardeners to regularly check the underside of leaves for pest eggs and remove them promptly.
Followers praised the tips, with one commenting: 'Need more of these! I love it.' Another added: 'You couldn't be more correct.'
