Charlotte Dawson has revealed her dramatic weight loss, saying she is 'mega proud' after shedding 3.5 stone. The TV star, 30, shared a comparison photo on Instagram showing her transformation from a year ago, when she was wearing an orange bikini, to her current slimmer figure.
Dawson, who started her fitness journey in 2021, told fans she had to lose weight for health reasons after being warned she was on the verge of Type 2 diabetes, a condition that affected her late father, comedian Les Dawson. Les died of a heart attack in 1993 at age 62, when Charlotte was just eight months old.
The reality star said she felt like a 'prisoner in her own body' before overhauling her lifestyle and diet. She admitted she 'went through hell' to shed the weight in just a few months, but is now determined to maintain her healthier habits after a break over Christmas and New Year.
Dawson, who has a son Noah turning two this month, said she worried she wouldn't be around for him if she didn't change. She recently spoke about her grief over her father and said she believed he had been 'sending signs' after she suffered a miscarriage in April.
