Think self-tan is too much effort – or too risky? Not any more. The latest products are so simple to use you can just go with the glow, says beauty columnist Sali Hughes.
Hughes recommends Vogue Williams' Overnight Tan Mask (£26), a hydrating cream that can be applied like a night cream for a subtle, buildable golden tint. For those who prefer lighter textures, Pixi's GradualGlow (£18) is a serum-like option that develops over three hours and can be used as a daily moisturiser.
For multi-step skincare users, James Read offers two options: Break of Dawn Rejuvenating Glow Mask (£39), which washes off after 20 minutes, and the new Golden Days Milky Tan Toner (£39), a milky toner applied after cleansing. Hughes also highlights Superdrug's Solait Self-Tan Sleep Mask (£5) as a high-performance bargain.
