A good moisturiser is an absolute skincare essential, so if you're looking to upgrade your everyday moisturiser, this one from Anua might just become your new go-to. From the brand behind the TikTok viral Heartleaf Pore Control Cleansing Oil comes the PDRN Hyaluronic Acid 100 Moisture Cream, a moisturiser that claims to completely revitalise your skin - and I tested it out.

PDRN Hyaluronic Acid 100 Moisture Cream

The Anua PDRN Hyaluronic Acid 100 Moisture Cream is a lightweight moisturiser that provides an immediate, but long-lasting hydration boost, and is perfect for everyday use. With 10 forms of hyaluronic acid and formulated with PDRN, this helps plump, hydrate, and nourish your skin, giving it a glass-like appearance.

Free from artificial colourants and fragrances, this cream is suitable for those with sensitive or irritated skin. Formulated with PDRN (derived from salmon DNA), this moisturiser helps improve the look of your skin, as it repairs skin cells, reduces inflammation and even boosts collagen, which in turn makes skin look more plump and glowy. It also includes 10 forms of hyaluronic acid, which essentially drenches the skin with moisture, helping provide long-term hydration and also helps keep the skin plump, which also has an anti-ageing effect as it can reduce the visible signs of ageing, such as wrinkles.

Did it live up to commerce writer, Phoebe's expectations?

My skin feels hydrated, soft and supple after weeks of using this moisturiser. As someone constantly trying new moisturisers, I can tell pretty quickly when I like one - and this one I like. I've been using this for a few weeks in both the morning and evening, and my skin feels adequately hydrated. I tend to get a bit oily on my T-zone, so I typically prefer a lightweight formula, and this is just that - it absorbs quickly without feeling greasy, and I can even apply makeup immediately after using without fear of pilling.

The main bonus of this moisturiser is the glow that it gives me (without looking oily) - I've really been trying to get that healthy, glass-skin look. And as someone who is acne-prone, I haven't had more breakouts than I would usually (perhaps even less) so it's earned a spot in my rotation for that alone. I did buy this while it was on sale, but usually at £32, it's more than I typically want to spend on a moisturiser. Do I think it's worth it? Sure, if you've got the money to spare, and I will probably buy it again in the future, but I wouldn't go as far to say it's my new ride-or-die moisturiser.

We spoke to Dr Richard Devine, aesthetic doctor and founder of Devine Clinic, who [about PDRN] said, 'It works by supporting the skin’s natural regeneration processes. It activates specific receptors involved in healing and repair, which then encourages fibroblast activity - key for producing collagen and elastin.'

If you pay attention to the ingredients in your skincare, you've likely noticed that (seemingly all of a sudden), PDRN is everywhere, especially if you're a fan of Korean skincare. Dr Devine said about its sudden popularity, 'There’s been a clear shift towards improving skin quality rather than chasing quick fixes, and that applies just as much to skincare as it does to in-clinic treatments.'

'It’s ideal for anyone noticing early signs of ageing, dullness, dehydration or a compromised skin barrier,' he stated about who benefits most from skincare with PDRN. 'It’s also a great option after other treatments to support healing and improve results. Rather than being a quick fix, it’s more about gradually improving the skin over time.'

A little goes a long way with the PDRN Hyaluronic Acid 100 Moisture Cream. Customers are loving this moisturiser, with one happy customer saying, 'Glass-skin must have. I love how this cream feels thick but goes on so smoothly. Very silky moisturizer. Skin is left feeling plump and hydrated. Easily used morning or night.'

Another satisfied shopper said: 'This moisturizer is honestly so good! It instantly soothes my skin and makes it feel calm and refreshed. My skin stays super hydrated all day without feeling greasy or heavy,' another happy shopper said. 'It gives such a soft, healthy glow and works perfectly under makeup too. Definitely one of my favourite moisturisers!' they continued.

'It's lightweight and works well with other products and under makeup, and helps with the overall hydration of my skin. I love the applicator and bottle, and my oily, combo, acne-prone skin appreciates that it is unscented. It's also not very expensive, which I like.', a third customer raved.
