Christian Angermayer, co-founder of the Enhanced Games, has revealed his daily wellness routine, which includes avoiding alcohol, taking a low-dose GLP-1 injection, and unwinding with TV shows featuring witches, werewolves, or dragons.
Morning routine and anti-routine
Angermayer avoids meetings before 10am wherever he is in the world, allowing his body to wake naturally between 7am and 10am without an alarm. He flies to America roughly every two weeks, making consistent bedtimes impossible. He describes himself as sleep-obsessed, ensuring he is never dragged awake by an alarm.
His first action is looking at his phone, which he admits he shouldn't. He then prays and meditates, sometimes in the reverse order, which he says is better. His routine is really an anti-routine: he never drinks alcohol, citing constant time-zone travel as a medical burden on the body.
Diet and supplements
He skips breakfast due to long-term intermittent fasting, eating within a four-to-eight-hour window. Dinner is unavoidable, as skipping it at a dinner meeting would be considered weird. His diet is roughly Mediterranean, with more fish than meat, no bread, and legumes instead of bad carbs, though he allows himself a cookie once a month.
For two years, he has been on a low-dose GLP-1 injection, which he calls outsourced discipline, as he is a stress eater. He also does mild testosterone replacement therapy, believing most men over 40 would benefit from restoring levels to their thirties. He cycles tesamorelin, a peptide that boosts growth hormone production, and takes SS-31 for energy, pinealon and epitalon for sleep, a topical copper peptide for skin, and DHEA, pregnenolone, magnesium, 5-HTP, and vitamin D.
He recently started taking Quviviq, a non-addictive sleep drug, contrasting it with Ambien and Xanax, which he says rob people of deep sleep. Its daytime counterpart is modafinil, a narcolepsy drug that keeps him awake and focused for around 12 hours with cleaner energy than coffee. He is strongly against amphetamines.
Training, recovery, and unwinding
Angermayer trains four or five times a week, mixing weights and cardio. A few times a week, he does Peloton rides while receiving full-body red-light therapy from two panels. He uses a sauna daily, usually before bed, and has one in every apartment.
In the evening, he watches 30 minutes of TV with blue-light blocking glasses, avoiding anything related to his life, including lawyers, politicians, business, and even sci-fi, which he finds too close to the deep tech he invests in. Instead, he prefers witches, werewolves, vampires, dragons, or very cheesy romcoms.
Once or twice a year, he does a psychedelic session, mostly psilocybin, and occasionally microdoses. At the Enhanced Games, only FDA-approved drugs are allowed. His advice is to be open to enhancement but not to trust random people on Instagram or make oneself a guinea pig. He warns that anything done obsessively is bad, advising to care about health but never stress about it. Angermayer is founder of the Aperion Investment Group and co-founder of the Enhanced Games.
