Australian radio host and WAG Brittany Hockley Siegrist has shared the four words she uses to silence persistent questions about why she and her husband, footballer Benjamin Siegrist, do not have children. In a candid Instagram post, the 38-year-old wrote: 'I can't fall pregnant. I hope that answers your questions.'
Blunt Honesty About Fertility Struggles
Brittany, who co-hosts the Life Uncut podcast and appeared on The Bachelor Australia, addressed her 290,000 followers after facing daily inquiries about her family plans. She explained that while no harm is intended, the constant questioning is exhausting. 'It's not for a lack of trying, trust me,' she added in the caption.
The media personality married Swiss footballer Benjamin Siegrist in a Balinese ceremony in June 2025, after meeting on a celebrity dating app in 2022. The couple have navigated a long-distance relationship, with Brittany recently announcing a move to Italy to join her husband.
Support and Perspective
Brittany's post received an outpouring of support. One follower commented: 'Love you both so much, you're living a wonderful life and if a baby comes in and adds to that wonderful life, it will be so lucky.' Another wrote: 'What an absolutely inspiring and beautiful perspective.'
In her message, Brittany urged others facing infertility not to let it consume their lives. 'It truly is exhausting. But it would be a shame to miss life's beautiful moments that are still happening,' she said. 'Until then, I guess we just keep travelling and enjoying life and hey, trying in different tropical locations isn't the worst.'
Expert Advice on Fertility
According to UK guidelines, those under 35 who have been trying to conceive for a year without success should see a GP. For those over 35, the recommendation is to seek help after six months. Lifestyle factors such as cycle tracking, limiting alcohol and caffeine, and maintaining a healthy weight can also support fertility.
