The White House explained last year that a large bruise on Trump's right hand resulted from extensive handshaking combined with his daily aspirin regimen. However, a similar mark on his left hand has since drawn attention. Trump attributed that bruise in January to clipping it on a table.

Social media users described the bruising as 'gnarly' and 'mangled,' urging the administration to provide further explanation. The president's health has been a recurring topic, with past incidents including memory lapses during public appearances and swelling around his ankles.
Turning 80 last month intensified scrutiny, with critics questioning whether an octogenarian can handle the demands of the presidency. Rahm Emanuel, former chief of staff to Barack Obama, told the New York Times: 'Somebody at 80-years-old just doesn't have the physical stamina, the mental stamina for that office.'

Trump's personal physician, Sean Barbarella, declared him in 'perfect' health after a spring check-up, citing 'strong cardiac, pulmonary, neurological and overall physical function.' The spokesperson added: 'President Trump's sharpness, unmatched energy and historic accessibility stand in sharp contrast to what we saw during the last administration when Democrats and the legacy media intentionally covered up Joe Biden's serious mental and physical decline from the American people.'
