Beauty shoppers looking for makeup bargains are turning to Boots, where the high-street retailer has launched a fresh array of Star Gifts. Among them is the Boots X NARS Beauty Icons Gift Set, worth £77.90 but priced at just £35.
What's inside the set
The set features three products, one of which is full-sized, housed in a luxury-looking reusable makeup bag. Each item works out to cost approximately £11.66, much cheaper than buying them individually.
The Powder Blush in the shade 'Dolce Vita' is worth £35.50 alone. It promises enhanced longevity, blendability and vibrancy, leaving skin with a fresh pop of colour. The formula contains pure pigments, including mineral and naturally-derived, pearlescent and super-fine, to ensure flawless results.
Other products in the gift set
The Light Reflecting Luminizer in the shade 'Eros' has a serum-powder hybrid texture that melts into the skin, delivering a soft glow for up to 10 hours. It can be applied to the cheekbones, brow bones, and down the centre of the nose.
The set also includes the Afterglow Lipstick in the shade 'Dolce Vita', infused with NARS' Monoï Hydrating Complex. The blend of coconut oil, gardenia tahitensis extract and squalene nourishes and hydrates the skin.
Shopper reviews
The gift set has yet to receive reviews, but the Powder Blush has an overall star rating of 4.6 out of five based on 6,597 reviews. One satisfied shopper said: "This blusher is gorgeous. So pigmented and glides on to the skin so smoothly. Leaves a gorgeous pretty finish, totally recommend."
Another wrote: "This powder blush blends effortlessly and gives the cheeks a gorgeous, natural-looking pop of colour. It’s easy to build up, lasts beautifully throughout the day, and leaves a smooth, flattering finish."
However, some found the blush too pigmented. One three-star reviewer said: "The colour is more pigmented than I expected it to be. I find it difficult to blend it out." Another added: "It was shimmery and applied well but felt it did dull down."
Despite this, many loved the product. One five-star review reads: "The pigmentation is amazing, it blends so easily, and it gives the perfect pop of colour without looking too heavy."
