Pot Noodles recalled over undeclared milk allergy risk
Pot Noodles recalled over undeclared milk allergy risk

Pot Noodles have been pulled from supermarket shelves after a labelling error was found to pose a health risk to some shoppers. The Food Standards Agency (FSA) has issued a 'do not eat' warning for batches of Piri Piri Chicken Flavour Pot Noodles after they were found to contain milk, which was not declared on the label.

As a result of the labelling error, the product has been deemed a risk to shoppers with an allergy or intolerance to milk. Unilever has now recalled the product and has contacted the relevant allergy support organisations, who will tell their members about the recall.

FSA warning to shoppers

Issuing a notice to shoppers, the FSA said: "If you have bought the above product and have an allergy to milk do not eat it. Instead, please return it to the store from where it was bought for a full refund.

"Alternatively please contact Unilever Consumer Care Line at ukicare@unilever.com or call them on 0800 146 252."
