Molly-Mae Hague has given fans an update on her son Midas' ongoing battle with acid reflux, describing the experience as "absolutely savage" and admitting she is "mentally really struggling" with it.
In her latest vlog, titled Come Back To Work With Me After Baby Number 2, the former Love Island star spoke to her followers before arriving at Adidas HQ. She explained that Midas has been "screaming" in pain and that the condition has taken over their lives.
Treatment and struggles
Hague revealed that they have now put Midas on Gaviscon in his bottles, but not every bottle, because it can make babies constipated. She said: "Update on Midas' reflux is, I won't lie, it's been absolutely savage. I've never ever in my life had so many helpful, amazing, kind messages."
She continued: "The reflux has really, really not messed around this time, it has really come to play. I know it's so common in babies but a lot of babies can still have some reflux and crack on and just be OK. But with this, it's so incredibly noticeable, and it really has taken over to the point where over the weekend I was mentally really struggling with it."
Emotional toll
Hague told her 2.1 million YouTube followers: "Because there's nothing worse, well one of the worst things, is seeing your child in discomfort or pain and not having the answer."
She previously shared that Midas was "wired" and "upset" and that she only managed an hour of sleep all night, saying: "I've never, ever heard a baby scream like that. And it like literally makes me want to cry. Like he's crying, I want to cry... And it's so just a lot like having a baby when it's hard enough as it is, and then add like feeding digestive issues on top of that. And it's just, it is a lot, but anyway."
Family life and postpartum journey
In the same video, Hague also decided to get a bra fitted, revealing she didn't feel confident in her underwear and wanted to feel better in her postpartum body. She also shared a candid insight into her family life, showing moments reading to Bambi in bed and explaining that she and Tommy Fury have been forced to spend more time apart with two children, each focusing on one child.
She said: "This is what I mean about just like, separate, being separate all the time, doing separate things with the kids, because it's just, it's not fair, I'm trying to get him in a routine, and this is where I'm like so torn."
