The Food Standards Agency (FSA) has issued an allergy alert on behalf of Bon Bons Wholesale Ltd for five chocolate products containing undeclared milk and soya. The products pose a possible health risk to anyone with an allergy or intolerance to milk or soya.
Bon Bons Wholesale Ltd, founded in 2007, is a leading UK supplier of premium confectionery and supplies over 1,000 independent retailers, garden centres, and visitor attractions. The company is recalling the products and has been advised to contact allergy support organisations to inform their members.
Recalled Products
The following products are affected: Medium Coloured Ladybird (best before March 1 2027, January 16 2028), Small Red Ladybird (best before January 21 2027, January 25 2027), Large Red Heart (best before November 22 2027, December 23 2027, December 26 2027), Mini Butterflies (best before March 21 2027, September 9 2027), and Sports Car (best before August 15 2027).
What to Do
The FSA states: "If you have bought the above products and have an allergy to milk and/or soya do not eat them. Instead, return them to the store you purchased them from for a full refund. For more information, or to receive a full refund, please contact enquiries@bonbons.co.uk or call 01937 840681."
Bon Bons Wholesale has also issued a point-of-sale notice to its customers explaining the recall and the necessary actions.
