Lorraine Guest Reveals 4st Weight Loss After Mounjaro Jab

Regular Lorraine guest Claer Barret has revealed she lost four stone and dropped three dress sizes after taking the Mounjaro jab. The financial expert described it as a 'calculated risk' and consulted both Lorraine's resident doctor Dr Hilary Jones and her own GP before starting the medication around a year ago.

Appearing on the show on Wednesday, December 10, Claer told fashion expert Mark Hayes: 'None of my clothes fit me any more. In my head I am a size 20 whereas in actual fact I am a size 14.' She had a Body Mass Index of 37, placing her in the obese range and raising concerns about diabetes and other health risks.

Host Lorraine Kelly praised Claer for her transparency, noting the importance of combining the jab with lifestyle changes such as exercise and proper diet. Claer said the biggest side effect was 'not feeling hungry and thinking about food all the time.'

Earlier this month, the manufacturer of Mounjaro (tirzepatide), Eli Lilly, launched a five-year trial in Manchester involving up to 3,000 people. The study aims to evaluate the drug's long-term effects on obesity, diabetes, and related complications, as well as its impact on employment and health economics.
