PepsiCo has recalled certain packs of Doritos Chilli Heatwave crisps because some packs contain milk, which is not mentioned on the label. The Food Standards Agency (FSA) and the Chartered Trading Standards Institute publicised the recall, warning customers with a milk allergy or intolerance not to eat the product.
Affected Products
The recall applies to 140g and 180g bags with specific batch codes and best before dates:
- Doritos Chilli Heatwave, 140 g, batch code GBC 209 184C, best before 05 December 2026
- Doritos Chilli Heatwave, 180 g, batch code GBC 209 184C, best before 05 December 2026
Some packs may have been packed with the wrong product containing milk, posing a risk to those with milk allergies.
Customer Advice
Customers who have bought the affected product and have an allergy or intolerance to milk or milk constituents are advised not to eat it. Instead, they should return it to the store where it was bought for a full refund. PepsiCo has also issued a point-of-sale notice to explain the recall and advise customers. The company has been advised to contact relevant allergy support organisations to inform their members.
