Molly-Mae Hague has provided an update on her two-year-old daughter Bambi's health after a hospital dash. The toddler was taken to hospital on Monday morning with symptoms including shaking, a high temperature, and crying in her sleep. Molly-Mae admitted she was 'hanging on by a thread' following the ordeal.
Initially diagnosed with flu, Bambi's condition did not improve, prompting a return to the doctor. Molly-Mae shared in her vlog that doctors suspect Bambi has croup, a condition causing a severe cough that can affect breathing. The NHS states croup is common in young children and usually mild, improving within 48 hours with hydration and keeping the child upright.
Molly-Mae collected antibiotics for Bambi, noting it was the first time her daughter had been prescribed such medication. However, she later cancelled a follow-up appointment, trusting her 'mother's instinct' after noticing Bambi's temperature dropping and her chest feeling calmer. She decided to continue monitoring her at home to avoid worsening her condition in heavy rain.
The family's health struggles also affected Molly-Mae's boyfriend, boxer Tommy Fury, who suffered from a severe stomach bug or food poisoning. Molly-Mae described him as unable to keep food or liquid down, losing weight, and looking gaunt with dark circles under his eyes. She said his illness was 'not normal' and that he had not eaten a proper meal in over a week.
Molly-Mae reflected on the stress of caring for both her partner and child, stating: 'This is simply the life of a mum, this is what parenthood looks like – you're constantly playing catch up. Lately, I've been living in a state of fight or flight.' She added that she felt sorry for Bambi, who 'looks so sad'.
