Jeremy Clarkson Age and Cancer Diagnosis in Clarkson's Farm
Jeremy Clarkson has been diagnosed with an aggressive form of cancer, as revealed in the latest season of Clarkson's Farm on Prime Video. The 66-year-old presenter shared the news in episode seven, drawing aside co-stars Charlie Ireland and Kaleb Cooper to deliver the devastating update. The final episode of season five showed Clarkson speaking from his hospital bed, revealing that his operation had gone awry and that he faced an uncertain future.
Jeremy Clarkson's Age and Background
Born in April 1960 in Sprotbrough, West Riding of Yorkshire, Jeremy Clarkson is currently 66 years old. Throughout season five, he has spoken candidly about his health and mortality. This is not the first time he has reflected on his later years; before his 62nd birthday, he openly mused that death can't be far away.
Clarkson's Candid Reflections on Mortality
In his Sunday Times column, Clarkson wrote: Instead of hiding in a wardrobe, hoping it won't find me there, I'm writing this, and when I've finished I'll go to the pub. He added: I do think about dying, a lot, and it bothers me. But not as much as it should. Not as much as I thought it would when I was kicking around on a piece of ground in my home town, waiting for something or someone to show me the way.
After disclosing his cancer diagnosis, he reassured his co-stars: I promise, I'll be fine, and maintained a characteristically upbeat demeanour. Shortly after turning 66, he declared he would do anything in my power not to die because he cherished being a grandparent.
Lifestyle Changes and Health Optimisation
Clarkson disclosed that he had implemented significant lifestyle changes to optimise his health, including increasing his physical activity. In his Times column, he said: Eventually, I decided that organised, indoor exercise was not for me and decided instead to do walking. Not when it's raining obviously. Or if it's too cold, or hot. And not if I'm busy. But on a reasonably temperate Sunday morning, I'd get out there and pootle along. So far I've relied on luck to keep me alive.
The presenter has not provided any additional information since undergoing the prostate procedure. Clarkson's Farm season 5 is available on Prime Video.
