TOWIE Star Jordan Brook Hospitalised with Meningitis and Encephalitis

Jordan Brook, known for his role on The Only Way Is Essex, has revealed he has been diagnosed with both viral meningitis and encephalitis. The 31-year-old, who is expecting his first child with girlfriend Sophie Kasaei, shared the news in a video from his hospital bed on Instagram.

In the clip, Brook explained that he is receiving round-the-clock care, including IV drips, antiviral medication, pain management, physiotherapy, and seizure monitoring. He noted that the swelling on his brain is worsening, making even simple daily activities difficult. He is currently on day 11 of treatment.

Brook urged fans to ignore online rumours about his condition, stating that some have speculated about more serious illnesses. He emphasised that the swelling is severe and that he is relying on steroids to reduce it, with no clear timeline for his hospital discharge.

Despite the challenges, Brook expressed determination to recover, saying his focus is on being a healthy father for his unborn son. He praised Sophie for her support during this difficult time.

According to the NHS, viral meningitis is an infection of the membranes surrounding the brain and spinal cord, while encephalitis involves inflammation of the brain itself. Both conditions can be serious and require urgent medical attention.
