Glasgow boy meets Tom Holland on Spider-Man set

A seven-year-old boy from Glasgow had his dream come true after meeting his hero Tom Holland during filming for the new Spider-Man movie in the city centre. Sam Arthur, from Pollok, was watching the production of Spider-Man: Brand New Day with his father Robert when the Hollywood star approached them.

Tom Holland, who plays Spider-Man, lifted Sam over a barrier and posed for photographs. The actor also chatted with the family and gave the young fan a cuddle. Robert Arthur, 26, said he had told his son to temper his expectations, but a member of the film crew asked them to stay, and Holland soon walked over.

Robert described the moment as surreal, especially when Holland asked Sam if he wanted to be lifted. He said Sam now talks constantly about meeting Spider-Man. After the encounter, Robert posted pictures on social media, which went viral, drawing kind responses from around the world.
