Elyza's condition includes persistent vomiting, severe feeding difficulties, extremely low muscle tone, and chronic fatigue that causes her to sleep up to 21 hours each day. Her development has been significantly delayed, with current milestones comparable to those of a five or six-month-old infant. She cannot feed orally and relies entirely on a feeding tube, while struggling to maintain a healthy weight.
Over the past year, Elyza has spent more than three months in hospital undergoing numerous tests, yet medical professionals remain unable to identify the underlying cause of her symptoms.
