Teenager Arrested After 12-Year-Old Boy Dies in Playground Fall in Cheshire

A 13-year-old boy has been arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving after a 12-year-old boy died in a playground incident in Cheshire. The arrest follows the death of Logan Carter, who was fatally injured at Wharton recreation ground in Winsford on Friday 29 August.

Police believe the roundabout at the park was propelled using the wheels of an e-bike, causing Logan to be flung off and sustain serious injuries. Emergency services were called at 6.11pm, and despite paramedics' efforts, Logan is understood to have died at the scene. The roundabout was later cordoned off for investigation.

The arrested teenager has been released under investigation while inquiries continue. Logan's family paid tribute to him as 'a little boy who was so full of life' with an 'infectious personality and a beautiful smile'. They described him as 'everyone's therapy person' and said he would be 'missed more than we can ever put into words'.
