Kelly Clarkson has returned to her US talk show, The Kelly Clarkson Show, a month after the death of her ex-husband, Brandon Blackstock. The 43-year-old singer took time off following the tragic news in August.
Brandon, who was married to Kelly for almost seven years until their split in 2022, died from melanoma on 7 August at the age of 48. The former couple share two children, River Rose, 11, and nine-year-old Remy. Brandon also had two children from a previous relationship.
Returning to her role, Clarkson displayed her usual mix of humour and emotion without directly addressing her ex-husband's death. During the show, she spoke with Margot Robbie and Colin Farrell about their new film A Big Bold Beautiful Journey, bonding over 'the highs and lows of parenthood'.
Earlier this month, Reba McEntire, the children's grandmother, shared an update on how the family is coping. 'The kids are doing well, they're all bonding together and hanging out with each other, and taking it one day at a time. We know God's got this,' she said at the Emmys.
Brandon's daughter Savannah, 23, who is expecting her third child, posted an emotional tribute on Instagram: 'Seeing my dad sick and losing him was something I never imagined or could have possibly prepared myself for, let alone young and pregnant.'
