Fashion icon Trinny Woodall has bravely revealed the harrowing impact her ex-husband Johnny Elichaoff's suicide had on their daughter, Lila, in a deeply personal new interview.
The 59-year-old TV personality spoke openly about how Lila, now 19, struggled to cope after her father took his own life in 2014 when she was just 10 years old.
The Painful Aftermath
"It was devastating," Woodall confessed. "As a mother, watching your child go through that kind of pain is unbearable." She described how Lila would wake up screaming in the night, haunted by nightmares about her father's death.
Mental Health Challenges
The former What Not to Wear star explained how the tragedy led to significant mental health challenges for her daughter during her teenage years. "There were times when I didn't know how to help her," Woodall admitted. "The grief manifested in ways I couldn't always understand."
A Mother's Perspective
Woodall, who has since become an advocate for mental health awareness, stressed the importance of open communication about suicide and its aftermath. "We need to talk about these things," she urged. "The silence only makes it harder for those left behind."
The beauty entrepreneur also shared how she and Lila have worked to rebuild their lives, finding strength in their close bond. "We've learned to celebrate Johnny's life rather than just mourn his death," she revealed.
