Teen Couple Dies in Suspected Carbon Monoxide Poisoning at Yorkshire Holiday Park

Tributes have been paid to Cherish Bean, 15, and Ethan Slater, 17, who died from suspected carbon monoxide poisoning at a holiday park in East Yorkshire. The teenagers were discovered at a rental property at Little Eden Holiday Lodge Park, near Bridlington, on Wednesday.

Humberside Police have arrested a 42-year-old man on suspicion of gross negligence manslaughter, following the earlier arrest of a 33-year-old man who has been detained for a further 12 hours. Detective Chief Superintendent Matt Peach expressed condolences to the families and urged the public to respect their privacy as investigations continue.

An online fundraising page for Ethan's family, based in Sheffield, has raised over £16,000. The page described Ethan as 'kind-hearted, warm, funny and protective,' adding that he 'had his whole life ahead of him' and would never reach milestones such as his 18th birthday.

Police received a call of concern for safety on Wednesday morning. A cordon remains in place at the park, and authorities are working with the Health and Safety Executive, Humberside Fire & Rescue, and East Riding of Yorkshire Council to establish the full circumstances.
