Former Love Island star Tasha Ghouri has bravely opened up about how her mental health spiralled dramatically following her split from Andrew Le Page, leaving her unable to leave her bedroom for extended periods.
The Breakdown and Backlash
The 27-year-old reality television personality, who found fame on the 2022 series of Love Island, ended her relationship with Andrew Le Page, 30, in January this year. What began as an amicable separation quickly turned bitter when Andrew publicly accused Tasha of using celebrity dating app Raya while they were still in a relationship.
During a candid Instagram Q&A session on Sunday, Tasha revealed the devastating impact of the subsequent online abuse she received. Horrific trolling from internet trolls who blamed her for the relationship's demise took a severe toll on her psychological wellbeing.
"I was so so anxious to share this," Tasha wrote emotionally. "I've experienced a lot of horrific trolls in the past year in my messages online and it massively impacted my mental health to the point I didn't want to leave my bedroom."
A Fresh Start and New Beginnings
The television star became visibly emotional as she described her journey toward recovery, revealing that her new home has provided the perfect sanctuary for her healing process.
"I'm getting emotional typing this but this feels like a fresh new beginning and it's the perfect haven to restart," she shared with her followers.
Tasha has since moved on romantically with boyfriend Cam Whitnall, after their romance began in May. The new couple were recently spotted together in the audience at a Strictly Come Dancing live show, where Tasha had previously competed last year, reaching the final with professional partner Aljaž Škorjanec.
According to The Daily Mail, Cam Whitnall is a 30-year-old presenter who appears in CBBC series One Zoo Three and BBC show OZT Goes Wild alongside his brothers Ty and Aaron. The managing director of non-profit charity The Big Cat Sanctuary, Cam comes from a family that runs Hertfordshire Zoo.
Regrets and Reconciliation Attempts
Meanwhile, Tasha recently admitted regretting her treatment of Andrew after they grew apart during her Strictly stint. In a July interview for Rylan Clark's How To Be In Love podcast, she explained that their relationship was already showing strain before her Strictly debut, claiming Andrew offered "no support" as she progressed through the competition.
Andrew responded furiously on Snapchat, branding Tasha unable to "keep his name out of her mouth" despite her new relationship. He made serious allegations about her behaviour during their relationship, writing: "The truth is... she went on Raya whilst we were still together... oops."
He added: "No one is perfect in a relationship but you keep talking s**t about me I'll start talking. She did one too many podcasts unfortunately. This is your closure chat."
Tasha herself had previously admitted regretting signing up to Raya before her split from Andrew was made public, adding another layer of complexity to the already messy separation.
Sources close to the new couple suggest Tasha and Cam have bonded over their shared love for animals. Tasha rescued her dog, Luna, who she previously shared with Andrew, from Spanish charity Alora Dog Rescue and Homeward Bound.
"Tasha and Cam are in the early stages of dating," a source revealed. "They have been seeing each other for around a month now and share so much in common, from a personal and professional standpoint. Cam is a great guy and has a lot going for him, Tasha has definitely been thrilled getting to know him and the feeling is mutual."
