Paris Jackson's Chateau Marmont Glamour Follows Candid Sobriety & Health Revelations
Paris Jackson's glamour after candid sobriety revelations

Paris Jackson, the 27-year-old daughter of the late Michael Jackson, commanded attention with a show-stopping appearance at a star-studded W Magazine party held at the iconic Chateau Marmont in Los Angeles on Saturday night.

A Night of Hollywood Glamour

Stepping out amongst Tinseltown's elite, Jackson dazzled in a daring black mini dress featuring a plunging neckline. Her sandy blonde hair was styled in a casually elegant messy bun, which accentuated her striking features. The thigh-skimming hem of her ensemble showcased her statuesque figure as she mingled with fellow A-listers including Jennifer Lopez, Sydney Sweeney, and Kate Hudson.

This glamorous outing arrived shortly after the model and musician shared remarkably candid reflections about her personal life, shifting the focus from red-carpet looks to a profound six-year journey to sobriety.

A Candid Reflection on Sobriety and Health

In a recent, heartfelt Instagram post, Jackson marked the approach of her sixth sobriety anniversary with raw honesty. "Getting sober ain't always the indication that life is perfect," she wrote. She described a period a few years into her recovery where life became "very, very hard for what felt like an eternity," forcing her to learn new coping mechanisms and to "live life on life's terms."

Jackson also spoke openly about her ongoing battles with treatment-resistant major depressive disorder, obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), and complex post-traumatic stress disorder (CPTSD). Offering support to others struggling, she added a message of solidarity: "If you've got this s***, or anything of the sort, you're not alone. Hang in there and if no one's told you they love you today, I love you."

The Lasting Physical Impact of Past Struggles

Nearly two months prior, Jackson had revealed a permanent physical consequence of her past substance use in a social media video. She disclosed that she has a perforated septum—a hole in the tissue separating her nostrils—which causes a noticeable whistle when she breathes.

While a perforated septum can have various causes, Jackson hinted at the origin, stating "it's exactly where you think it's from." She explained she has lived with the condition for around seven years, since approximately age 20. Showing the hole to the camera with a phone light, she ended with a warning: "Don't do drugs kids." She then clarified her stance, saying, "Or do, I mean, everyone is going to have the experience they need to have with life... I don't recommend it because it ruined my life."

Jackson shared that she has been hesitant to undergo surgical repair, fearing that the necessary post-operative pain medication could jeopardise her hard-won sobriety.

In January 2025, she celebrated a major milestone, marking five years clean from all drugs and alcohol, after previously battling heroin addiction. In a social media post at the time, she expressed profound gratitude for the simple joys sobriety allows her to experience, from making music and feeling the sun on her skin to fully embracing both heartbreak and laughter.

Jackson has used her platform in recent years to discuss her struggles with addiction, depression, and self-harm, with some of her tattoos serving to conceal related scars. Her latest appearances and revelations paint a picture of a woman embracing both her glamorous public life and her deeply personal, ongoing journey of recovery and resilience.
