Reality television star and former glamour model Katie Price has shared a worrying health update, revealing that a dramatic and visible weight loss pushed her to seek urgent medical advice.
Family Concerns and Doctor's Appointments
Speaking on her podcast, The Katie Price Show, with her younger sister Sophie, the 47-year-old disclosed that her mother, Amy Price, became "panicked" after seeing her daughter's transformed appearance. Amy reportedly begged Katie to see a doctor, leading to persistent questioning about whether an appointment had been booked.
"All I’ve had, since everywhere has been closed, is, ‘Have you phoned the doctors yet? Have you phoned?’" Katie explained. She confirmed to her sister that she had indeed attended an appointment, even providing a screenshot as proof.
Medical Tests and Low Blood Pressure
Katie, who branded herself a "stick woman" during the discussion, stated her intention to undergo comprehensive tests. "I’m going in there to talk about blood tests, MRI, everything she wants me to have to get to the bottom of why the Price is – forget stick man – stick woman," she said.
The media personality also revealed that during a recent medical visit, doctors expressed concern over her abnormally low blood pressure. The test was reportedly conducted three times, with medical staff remarking, "It can't be that low."
Ongoing Health Journey and Family Support
This is not the first time Katie has sought help regarding her weight. In October 2025, she posted a selfie informing fans she was going to the doctor to investigate the issue. She later noted that an initial attempt at blood tests was only partially successful, managing to fill just two vials, necessitating a follow-up appointment.
The star's admissions follow reports that her family have been engaging in "honest" conversations about her well-being. A source close to the family told The Mirror that these discussions, which cover her mental health and weight loss, come from a place of love and support, and remain private.
"Her well-being is, and always will be, the priority, and it's something she is actively working on," the source added.
