Hollyoaks actress Jessamy Stoddart has given birth to her second daughter, just days after her character Liberty Savage departed the soap. The 30-year-old announced the news on Instagram, sharing photos of herself cradling the newborn and her husband Ryan O'Gorman carrying their daughter out of hospital.
Revealing the baby's weight as 9lb 6oz, Stoddart described the birth as a 'euphoric' water birth. She wrote: 'I got the VBAC water birth of my dreams. I feel like I won the midwife lottery and had the unwavering support of Ryan, as always.' The couple, who became first-time parents in 2023 with daughter Joni, announced their second pregnancy in December.
Castmates flooded the comments with congratulations. Harvey Virdi (Misbah Malik) posted: 'Oh my darling, congratulations!!! What joy', while Nadine Mulkerrin (Cleo McQueen) said: 'Best mummy in the world'. Anna Passey (Sienna Blake) simply added: 'Congratulations mate'.
Stoddart's exit from Hollyoaks saw Liberty leave for New Zealand after discovering fiancé Jeremy Blake was a serial killer and witnessing sister Sienna arrested for murder. The actress's maternity leave was written into the storyline, with Liberty seeking happiness abroad.
