Freddy Brazier spent 18th birthday in psychiatric ward after suicide attempt

Freddy Brazier, the 21-year-old son of TV presenter Jeff Brazier, has opened up about his mental health struggles in a candid TikTok video, revealing that he spent his 18th birthday in a psychiatric ward after attempting to take his own life.

In the video, which uses an AI voiceover, Freddy said that two and a half years ago he crashed his car during a manic episode in an attempt to end it all. He added that he experienced repeated episodes and was sectioned, spending his 18th birthday in a psychiatric ward.

Freddy also accused his grandmother, Jackiey Budden, of lying to him for years. He had prioritised his relationship with her, but now claims she deceived him. The video shows him smoking and walking the streets in a dressing gown, and he admitted to starving himself and replacing food with cannabis.

However, the video takes a positive turn as Freddy shows himself eating better, training in the gym, and focusing on self-love. He captioned the post: '2.5 years ago now, I'm f*****g proud of myself and I can't wait to tell my story.'

Freddy is now expecting his first child with his ex-girlfriend, whom he has reconciled with. He recently revealed that he does not have a fixed address, saying he is 'couch surfing and loving life'.
