Former Saturdays singer Vanessa White has given birth to her first child, a baby boy named Sage Remi-Bisaya Lawal. The 35-year-old announced the arrival on Instagram, sharing a photo of the newborn surrounded by balloons.
White and her husband, DJ Emmanuel Lawal, welcomed their son just weeks after marrying at Hackney Town Hall in a private ceremony with only two witnesses. The couple had announced their engagement and pregnancy in November after Lawal proposed in the Cotswolds.
White's Saturdays bandmates congratulated her online. Mollie King wrote: 'Oh my love, just the best!!' while Rochelle Humes commented: 'The best news, all that hair.' Frankie Bridge and Una Healy also sent their well-wishes.
Speaking to Vogue, White recommended eloping, saying: 'It was so nice. I really do recommend people just going off and doing it on their own.' Lawal added that the timing was tight due to the pregnancy and Christmas, but they managed to make it official.
White also shared that finding a wedding dress was challenging due to her changing figure, but she found the perfect one when she tried it on.
