Tini Younger Shares Emotional Update After Losing Twin Daughter Arya
Tini Younger's Heartbreaking Update After Losing Twin

Social media personality Tineke 'Tini' Younger has shared an emotional update with her followers, weeks after suffering the devastating loss of one of her newborn twin daughters.

A Heartbreaking Loss and a Hopeful Update

The 24-year-old Next Level Chef alum, who married Antoine Wright Jr. in November 2024, revealed last month that her daughter Arya – known as Baby A – died shortly after birth. The tragedy was caused by a placental abruption, a serious condition where the placenta separates from the uterus wall before delivery, cutting off the baby's oxygen and nutrients.

In a poignant Instagram post on Friday, Tini turned her focus to her surviving twin, whom she calls L (Baby B). "Just wanted to hop on socials real quick and just let everyone know L is doing good, we love her so much," she wrote alongside new photos of the newborn.

She added a touching sentiment about the bond between her daughters: "We remind her everyday about Arya and Arya definitely plays with her sister in her dreams. L loves to smile in her sleep."

Physical and Emotional Recovery Ahead

Tini also addressed her absence from social platforms, indicating a necessary period of healing. "I’m not sure when I will be back," she confessed. "I’m still emotionally and physically trying to heal, I’ve had some complications during my postpartum which I’m still trying to recover from."

Despite the profound grief, she ended her message with gratitude for the support received and a firm reassurance about her family's future. "Her twin sister is doing really good and breathing on her own… Arya will always be celebrated, her sister will know she is a twin and has a beautiful twin sister," Tini affirmed.

The Initial Announcement and a Journey Cut Short

The young chef and TikTok star, famed for her viral macaroni and cheese recipe, first shared the devastating news on November 26, 2024. "This isn't the post I ever thought I would share once the twins came," she began, explaining they had almost reached 36 weeks of pregnancy before the abruption occurred.

At that time, she confirmed her surviving daughter was "doing really good and breathing on her own" and announced an immediate break from her social media channels, which command a combined following of over 14 million people.

The couple had joyfully announced they were expecting twins in June 2024 with a cooking-themed video captioned "Putting a bun(s) in the oven." They later revealed in July that they were expecting twin girls, sharing their excitement with fans throughout the pregnancy.

Tini's update highlights the difficult intersection of joy and profound sorrow that follows the loss of one multiple-birth child, while emphasising the enduring love and memory for the sibling who passed.
