Strictly Come Dancing professional Dianne Buswell and her partner, YouTube star Joe Sugg, have posted an emotional farewell message to their fans as they prepare to welcome their first child together in the new year.
An End of an Era: Final Vlogmas as a Duo
In the concluding episode of their festive 'Vlogmas' series on YouTube, the couple reflected on their journey and signalled a major life change. Joe Sugg told viewers that this year's series would be their last as a pair. "That, is it. The end of the vlog and the end of Vlogmas," he said, expressing gratitude to their audience for following their Christmas preparations over the past few years.
He described the tradition as an "absolute joy," highlighting the value of being able to look back on cherished memories. The tone then shifted as Joe hinted at the exciting future ahead, stating that 2026 would be "quite a different year to our normal years." He delivered the poignant update: "This is the end of the last Vlogmas that we’ll ever do as a two. This time next year there will be three of us."
From Dance Partners to Parents
The couple, who first met when paired on the 16th series of Strictly Come Dancing in 2018, announced they were expecting a baby boy in September 2025. They shared the news in a creative Instagram post, painting a canvas to reveal a simple drawing of two stick figures holding hands with a smaller figure between them, accompanied by the date "2026."
The post was soundtracked by Sir Elton John's 'Tiny Dancer' and captioned: "Our little baby boy. We cannot wait to meet you." The announcement was met with an outpouring of congratulations from the Strictly family, including judges Shirley Ballas and Motsi Mabuse, professional dancers Johannes Radebe and Amy Dowden, and documentary-maker Stacey Dooley.
Fans and Well-Wishers React
Supporters quickly shared their joy and best wishes on the couple's YouTube channel. One fan commented on the enjoyment of watching them prepare the nursery and share childhood memories, while another sent their best wishes for Christmas and the new year, looking forward to future content in 2026.
Dianne Buswell remains a prominent figure on Strictly, having most recently competed in the 2025 series. She made history in the previous year by winning the Glitterball Trophy with comedian Chris McCausland, the show's first blind winner. As they close this chapter, the couple's focus now turns to their imminent arrival and the beginning of their new life as a family of three.
