Sofia Richie has confirmed that her second child will be a son. The social media star shared the news at her intimate baby shower, writing on Instagram: 'Celebrating Eloise's soon-to-be brother.'
The shower was held with a country club theme, complete with a pajama dress code. Richie wore a yellow silk pyjama set with a matching polka-dot robe, accessorised with silver necklaces and diamond earrings. Guests enjoyed an afternoon at 'The Grainge Club', a nod to her husband's surname and an Old Money aesthetic.
Richie, who married record executive Elliott Grainge in 2023, announced her second pregnancy on 16 October with an Instagram snap of her baby bump. The couple's daughter, Eloise, was born in May 2024. In a first birthday tribute, Richie described her daughter as 'my greatest achievement'.
In a previous interview with Vogue, Richie said she hopes to raise 'a smart, kind person' and plans to protect her children from social media until they are old enough to decide for themselves. She also expressed a desire to find a balance between being protective and allowing independence.
