Scarlett Moffatt Chooses Peace for 2026 After Heartbreaking Miscarriage Reveal
Scarlett Moffatt on miscarriage and choosing peace for 2026

Former Gogglebox star Scarlett Moffatt has shared a powerful message about her hopes for the future, declaring she is 'choosing peace' for 2026. This follows her emotional revelation just after Christmas that she suffered a miscarriage and will not be having more children.

A Heartbreaking Decision After Loss

The 35-year-old TV personality, who shares a two-year-old son, Jude, with her fiancé Scott Dobinson, disclosed the sad news in a recent interview. She explained that the miscarriage occurred after Jude's birth and was a late-term loss. 'We had told people and we were really excited,' Scarlett told The Sun, describing how the family had already imagined a future for the siblings.

She detailed the profound grief involved, mourning not just the pregnancy but the life they had envisioned. The experience led to a decisive conversation with Scott. 'I just don't think I can handle the heartbreak any more. I think we should stop. We've got Jude, so let's enjoy him,' she recalled saying, expressing immense sympathy for others who endure similar pain.

Focusing on Family and Gratitude

On New Year's Day, Scarlett turned her focus to her immediate family, posting sweet snaps on Instagram of them enjoying a roast dinner together. In the caption, she set her intention for the coming year: 'I can't control everything. But I can choose what I give my energy to. 2026, I'm choosing peace.'

This commitment to peace follows a challenging start to parenthood. Scarlett has previously spoken about Jude's traumatic premature birth at 35 weeks and five days, which involved significant blood loss for her and required Jude to be treated in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) for hypoglycemia and jaundice.

She remains a vocal supporter of NICU services, recently partnering with WaterWipes to promote their Pure Foundation Fund, which recognises staff who go above and beyond for premature babies.

A New Family Dynamic

Scarlett and Scott, who got engaged in 2023, are navigating a new family routine. She told the Daily Mail that after she took two years off to be a full-time mum, Scott, a former policeman, has now taken a two-year career break to become a stay-at-home dad. 'He's now in full-time dad mode, which is lovely. We're somehow managing because of that,' she explained, also praising the support of grandparents.

The couple are set to marry next year, building their future around their son Jude and the peace they are consciously choosing for their family.
