Paloma Faith Welcomes Third Child, a Baby Boy, via Painful C-Section

Singer Paloma Faith has announced the birth of her third child, a baby boy, describing him as “perfect and wonderful”. The 44-year-old artist shared the news on Instagram on Tuesday, revealing she underwent a “painful” C-section.

In a black-and-white photograph, Faith is seen gently holding her newborn son’s hand. She wrote that the baby was born on Friday, March 6th, but arrived early and spent three days in the neonatal intensive care unit (NICU). The singer thanked the “incredible” midwives and medical team for their care.

Faith, known for hits like “Only Love Can Hurt Like This”, reflected on the challenges of childbirth, saying: “Today we go home. As usual it’s not easy, I’m engorged already, day three intrusive thoughts, in love with my partner and my kids more than ever. Just taking it all slow. C sections ARE PAINFUL.” She also noted that breastfeeding is difficult.

The singer has not yet named her baby boy or publicly identified the father. She already has two daughters, born in 2016 and 2021, with her ex-partner, French artist Leyman Lahcine. Faith has previously spoken about complications during her earlier births, including an emergency C-section that left her unable to walk properly for three months, and losing a litre of blood after her second delivery.

Faith announced her pregnancy in October last year, shortly after appearing on ‘The Celebrity Traitors’. The news prompted congratulations from fellow celebrities, including Claudia Winkleman, Alan Carr, Kate Garraway, Jesy Nelson, Fearne Cotton, and Jools Holland.
