MAFS Stars' Gender Reveal Nearly Spoiled by Cheeky Toddler Son
MAFS couple's gender reveal nearly ruined by toddler

Reality television favourites Martha Kalifatidis and Michael Brunelli have shared the heartwarming and comical moment they discovered the gender of their second child, an event that was almost derailed by their mischievous two-year-old son, Lucius.

The Big Reveal That Almost Went Wrong

The Married At First Sight couple, who found love on the 2019 season of the hit show, took to Instagram on Wednesday to post two videos documenting the intimate family moment. In a clever twist, they entrusted their young son with the crucial task of revealing whether he would be getting a baby brother or sister.

The plan involved Martha's uncle, Enzo, who was given the sealed envelope containing the gender information. He was seen in a black-and-white clip guiding little Lucius back to his eagerly awaiting parents. The scene was set for a perfect family memory.

Little Lucius Steals the Show

The video then captures the adorable struggle as Martha, 37, and Michael, 33, desperately try to coax the secret from their tight-lipped toddler. "What did Enzo say?" the couple pleaded, with Martha adding, "Tell me the secret Enzo told you!"

Despite offering bribes of chocolates and lollies, Lucius remained defiantly silent, giggling at his parents' attempts. The tension built until, finally, Lucius decided to speak—and promptly delivered the wrong answer, confidently blurting out that it was a boy.

For a brief moment, confusion reigned. "Is it a boy?" Michael asked the family, while Martha pressed for clarity, "What is it?" The truth was swiftly revealed by Uncle Enzo in the background, who called out, "It's a girl!" prompting the entire family to erupt into cheers and celebrations.

A Long-Awaited Baby Girl

As the happy parents embraced, a voice could be heard in the background confirming, "Michael wanted a girl." The moment marked a joyful conclusion to the couple's wait, after they announced last month that they were expecting their second child.

Martha had previously posted a sweet video of Lucius kissing her growing baby bump. In her caption, the former reality star hinted at a difficult pregnancy, similar to her first, writing, "Knocked up n' knocked out. Will be back bigger and better soon… fingers crossed!" She had previously battled hyperemesis gravidarum, a severe form of morning sickness.

Martha and Michael, who became engaged two years after their TV wedding but have yet to marry, are now set to become a family of four, with a baby daughter on the way to join big brother Lucius.
